Responsible for meeting current technology needs and developing future
technology plan that encompasses internal IT needs and launch of
community-oriented website to serve 5,000 students annually and
more than 100 classes per semester. The Crucible is an educational
collaboration of arts, industry, and community in Oakland, CA.
· Spearheaded website design and development providing new
e-commerce capabilities for the organization.
· Consult with Development Director to refine existing FileMaker
database to better serve fundraising requirements.
· Architected and built office network configuration including security,
computer network, and PBX support.
· Developed technology strategic plan and pursued supporting grants
for technology build out.

PlanetQuest

Responsible for realizing the goals of the organization. PlanetQuest seeks to
deliver the search for extrasolar planetary objects to students of all ages across
the globe.

Network for Good
Director of Technology, November 2001 — October 2002
Led an eight person technology team to support complex Internet website
and intranet organization tools. Worked daily with partners at AOL Time Warner,
Cisco Systems and Yahoo! to create online resource for matching non-profit
organizations with volunteers and funding.
· Oversaw redesign and rebuilding of 500 page website with new portal,
personalization and transactional functionality in 6 months. Worked closely
with team to coordinate site re-launch with White House announcement of
Network for Good.
· Built and managed technology team across five separate locations from
California to Washington, DC.
· Managed internal office application developer and reporting processes.
· Assessed site needs and re-architected site platform from collection of
scripts to world class high-availability database-served Java application to
increase site reliability and ease of maintenance.
Brightmail, Inc.
Product Manager & Co-Founder,
December 1997 — December 2000
Guided product development lifecycle from conceptual development to
1.0 release of the Brightmail’s enterprise anti-spam service which was
then used by AT&T WorldNet, EarthLink, MSN and others. Product was
built in 9 months by team of 15 and launched as a real-time email
protection platform used by over 100,000 users in its first year.

document for new service

· Developed product launch process, including design and conduct of
beta programs.
· Defined and implemented customer relationship management system
for large ISP customers. Created customer service department to address
concerns of client system administrators. Delivered training for customer
system administrators.
America Online, Inc. February 1995 — November 1997
Sr. Producer, Project Management, March 1997 — November 1997
· Coordinated production of first major AOL user upgrade in three years,
including contributing to feasibility study, building prototypes, directing
new publishing methods, and developing improved revenue generation.
Project Lead, AOL Productions, January 1997 — March 1997
· Led production of online content delivery for proposed joint venture to
meet Sprint customer service needs.
Sr. Technical Producer, Product Marketing, February 1996 — November 1996
· Managed internal products supporting AOL’s production community and
revenue generation efforts. Authored CD product documentation for
third-party API group. Product allowed partners to link to AOL content
from their CDs. Work required an understanding of the AOL host (server),
Windows registry, and Macromedia Director’s capabilities.
Asst. Producer, Internet Connection Channel, February 1995 — January 1996
· Responsible for design and content for Internet education channel. Produced
record-breaking online usage communities. Took initiative to learn how AOL
would integrate web-content in the service and wrote the definitive document
used to train production staff.
